In Memory of Charles Jacobs
I don't have a lot of heroes and Idols but Charles Jacobs was surely one of them . Charles was a free spirit if ever there was one. I tried to pattern my behavior after him. He was a staple at Zanzibar and other Salsa nights clubs in the DC area for the last 12 years that I have been dancing here. Charles was one of the most well liked salseros in the DC area, he had a passion not only for dancing but just life in general. Charles would dance with any one from beginner to pro level , he was the epitome of what a salsa dancer attitude should be like , no attitude, no judgment on any one's ability , he just wanted to dance, Always happy go lucky and full of energy Charles' energy was infectious, if he was in the room it was always a party. Charles I know the spirits in heaven can't wait to dance salsa with you. And while you are there dance one for me .
