Progressive Classes

I like the fact that most of the places I teach I teach Progressive classes. I believe that is the best way for a person to learn . How can you learn how to do something if every week you do the same class? I am just asking? 

The classes at Lima are doing real well and we have great classes at The Salsa Room as well on Wednesdays. At Roda Dance Studio on Tuesdays and Thursdays we have small intimate classes which are great for the students because I am able to give them more attention . 

I went to the DC Salsa Meet Up Party last night at the Salsa Room . They have a one once a month  party and they always have a great crowd . The music was great last night DJ Renzo and DJ EricB rocked the house . What I like about the DC Salsa meet Up parties is I always meet new people. 

The salsa scene always need new blood or the scene  becomes stale

I always wondered?

I always wondered why if salseros don't drink , how come they are always the first in line when the bar is an open bar?

So is it salseros don't or they don't drink when they have to pay ?

I always wondered why salseros don't go ut in the rain until I realized it's because they don't want to get wet. Duh

Free ChaChaCha and Salsa Classes at the Salsa Rooon every Wednesday

The Salsa Room located at 2619 Columbia Pike Arlington Va on Wednesday is the only place in the DC Metro area where you can get Free Salsa and ChaChaCha classes and have a practice dance party right after class. Beautiful hard wood floors and plenty of space to dance . This is the new Salsa Over the Hump Day venue.

Interesting to say the least. Hypocrisy is Every where even in Salsa

I went to a local web site the other day and the owner of the site was talking about how DC Salsa promoters do not have integrity and care nothing but about the dollar. This person went on to say how the Dj's should accept a certain wage and not low ball the rest of the djs'in town.

I hope I am not one of the promoters that he is talking about but if I am he can kiss where the sun don't shine . And if he is talking about me I would give anything for this guy to say something to me man to man instead of talking behind my back . I am Salsa's number 1 fun dealer .I deal fun not drama so I will not pursuit this issue

First things first, To my knowledge a dj is worth what the dj can get paid. Some of the djs are out here are suffering from Delusions of Grandeur when it comes to what they think they are worth. Some of these guys got lucky and have one real good paying job somewhere and think that is the standard pay for every job. Not realizing every situation is different

To top it off the same person who is crying about djs low balling them is getting paid peanuts to play at a top spot here in DC and has as been underpaid for years now . Now let me get this straight this person has been underpaid for years according to what he says a DJs should accept and then he turns around and talks about what other djs accept to pay . Talk about Hypocrisy
